The archipelago of Chausey Islands includes 52 islands and 365 islets. It is a vast aera for seascape observation and a paradise for fishermen. Beyond Chausey Islands, the Channel Islands come into sight and unveil Jersey, Guernesey, Sark and Alderney.
Chausey Islands
The amplitude of the tides (the highest in Europe) uncovers immense sand banks joining the islands together: "La Grande Ile" and "Anneret" are the only habitable islands, the others offer a vast area for seascape observation and are a real paradise for fishermen.
The waters, braced by strong winds and streams, are inhabited by myriads of organisms, from plankton to dolphins. This fullness offers a marvellous field for ornithological observation since numerous species of sea birds can be
found (gannets, small penguins, cormorants).
